Why did you say back to me? Dreaming of Maybach cruising, maybe talking crazy but I want it. 100,000 ways to choose it. Who the hell is out and who's in?
My name is Hayden. Uh we're Sir Sly and I play drums.
I'm Landon and I sing and play guitar mostly.
I'm Jason and I play keys, a little bit of bass and some guitar.
And you produce everything?
And I produce. Everything. Everything. Everything.
I grew up listening to jazz. Landon grew up listening to uh hip hop or things like Rage Against the Machine around his house. Jason was classically trained. Um and then I think we have more contemporary music influences as well. You know, we love Radiohead. We love different electronic music.
Why is that funny?
Just because you knew with this. Probably what I'm wearing right now. This is what I wear when I play, so not not that cool.
made of medal, medal, medal. Pocket full of yellow, yellow. Pocket full of gold and I hope you find, I hope you find your dreams. And I'll never settle, settle, settle. Chasing down the devil, devil. Chasing down the gods, and I hope you find, I hope you find your dreams.
There's one word to describe Sir Sly, it's Sly-Fi.
If I could collaborate with any artist, it would be Radiohead, or Thom Yorke more specifically. Uh, Paul Simon would be really cool. Just an incredible songwriter that's totally uh out of the the genre that we're in.
I'm living like a solid gold movie. Show your mouth and see straight through me. Find that you're hiding in your money.
My favorite city uh that we've ever played in is Kansas City. Uh so many good people in that city. An incredibly supportive radio station. Um like really one of the first cities we showed up outside of California where people were just singing every word and that was like a I'll I'll never forget first time we played in Kansas City.
Sir Sly?
There's not really meaning. We just came up with it one day when we were in the studio and then just kept writing music after that.
I guess the strangest things that most people would have learned I kind of already knew. 'Cause I've known Hayden for a long time. He he showers a lot, I guess. Like three times a day sometimes? Two times a day? That's fair. Which is more than the average person, I think.
Favorite trait of other members in my band are how good-looking they are.
The main reason I became a musician, 'cause I'm not good at anything else and I really love music.
Other main reason I became a musician is because that's what I love to do. I'm I'm lucky to get to do what I do.
All we were single of thing. Not a goddamn thing.
I made a medal, medal, medal. Pocket full of yellow, yellow. Pocket full of gold, and I hope you find. I hope you find your dreams.
