I'm Miriam and I'm here in the recording studio with Semi Precious Weapons.

I love your music videos, they're full of, I mean, very unique and stylistically.

How involved are you as a band in, in creating that look and that feeling on the music video and?

It's all our, it's our look.

It's not really the storylines but the concepts and the, yeah, everything is we've done it all 100%.

We actually Cole was sketching stuff for our new video earlier.

Yeah, cool.

That's how it is.

It's very cool.

And then in the and then in the middle I do that and it's awesome.

I like it because usually you see, you know, this effort to make everybody look the same in the band but here we have people, I mean you all have your own individual style.

It's almost like you're in different bands but you have a cohesive sound.

What are some of the style icons that have inspired you?

Uh, well for me personally, uh, my biggest style icons are Sharon Stone, uh, Marilyn Monroe and Marisa Tomei.

Turbo from Breakin, the breakdance movie and LL and Willie Nelson.

My mom's closet, that's my.

Yeah.

A good friend of ours Jimmy who makes these half jackets.

You know why are you wearing a half jacket right now?

Changed mid and you guys in the.

You guys are going on tour with Lady Gaga.

Tell us more about that.

We knew her back in New York a couple years ago.

Uh we used to play shows together and she's you know blossomed into this, you know, magical performer and uh, an artist, you know, so it's it's great to be able to work with her again now.

So it's amazing.

I know that Perez Hilton is a big fan.

He blogs a lot about you guys.

He's a big supporter.

How did that come about?

Basically what happened is that uh Justin sent him a video a couple years ago just like, hey, check it out.

I actually sent him the same email 20 times.

I just resent it like every three days and then one day he just wrote back and he said this is awesome.

What's the MySpace page?

And then the next morning it was, I had like 45 texts of everyone like, oh my god, you're on Perez Hilton.

We did the whole Perez Hilton tour.

It was amazing.

We started as the opener.

And then we were the support and then we were the co-headliner.

Anyone in particular that you aspire to working with in the near future?

I would love for Cindy Crawford to star in one of our music videos.

I think we'd all like to make a record with Jay-Z.

He's the raddest right now.

I think he's the most badass and the most rock and roll.

He's probably the most fascinating character out there right now.

And do you think he could crossover to Glam Rock and maintain his swagger?

Yeah, 100%.

If there's anything we have it's lots of swagger.
