Welcome to younghollywood. com.
All right, Young Hollywood.
We're here at Project Malibu for Style by the Shore.
We've been given exclusive access.
Let's go check it out.
All right, well, I'm here with Niki Six and DJ Ashba.
This is one of the best albums I've ever heard in my life.
6:00 a. m. The Heroin Diaries.
Now, this is a story, Niki, about The Heroin Diaries, which you wrote.
My diaries from when I was, you know, in the throws of my addiction.
And you know, we got a lot of commentary in there from other people to really tell their side of it.
Then I got to write the overview of where I'm at now, you know, 20 years from addiction.
And then we scored a record to uh, it's a soundtrack to that.
DJ, tell me about it.
When Niki came to you, what, you know, what was this about for you?
He brought this book and I took it home and read it and was so blown away by the story.
I immediately called him and for a couple months, no matter if we were in the studio together, we'd be calling each other with with ideas.
I mean, the book really wrote wrote the music.
You've been known Niki to have some women in your life.
What do you look for in a woman?
Someone who doesn't wear panties.
So hold on, do you wear soak panties?
Do I wear soak panties?
I I have.
Somebody that's balanced, somebody that's got their own career, somebody that's 18, over 18, I mean.
I'm I went through the bimbo phase.
I went through the playmate phase.
I'm over it.
You have four children.
Have they read the book?
Have they heard the music?
I had an experience with my kids where I picked them up from school and one of my son's friends was in the back seat with them and they asked me to put some music on.
So they're like, "Oh, can't you put on something like your band?" And the other kid goes, "Oh, your dad's in a band?" And she, "What band?" He goes, "Motley Crue." He plays bass.
And the other kid goes, "Oh, my dad plays bass in the Eagles." Now, that only happens in California.
You don't have kids yet, right?
I I have a I have a monkey.
You have a Capuchin monkey.
It's a little girl named Pinky.
Shut up.
What's your favorite line?
What's your favorite lyric of all time?
You can't quit until you try.
You can't live until you die.
You can't learn to tell the truth until you learn to lie.
I'm a liar and that's the truth.
