Welcome to younghollywood. com.
Hey, Tyson here from the All-American Rejects. You're on the set with me on our new video for The Wind Blows. Won't you come with me? I gotta go get fitted for a wet suit.
Friday.
This is Chris, drummer, All-American Rejects.
Hi.
Who are you?
We're going to wardrobe here.
Kennedy! Hi, how you doing?
I don't know, Young Hollywood. I'm a little old for Young Hollywood, I think.
I know, I feel like I am too, but who cares? We can suspend disbelief.
Hey Young Hollywood, it's Michelle Marie, spending this beautiful day in Malibu with the All-American Rejects. Is this not like the best day to have a video shoot?
It doesn't suck to be the All-American Rejects today, unless you're watching the rest of the video shoot. We have to submerge our bodies in 50 degree water.
Yes, it's very it's a lot chillier than it probably looks on camera. Tell us the concept behind today. What do you guys have going on with the video?
It's like one day with this love story but it ends in this uh sort of surreal way where it's like, you know, it ends because it has to as opposed to, you know, something bad happens. And at the end of it we get washed, sort of baptized in this uh in the fact that it's a beautiful day and tomorrow is a beautiful day, even if you fall, you can still get back up. At the end of the video, people go, "Wow, that is what love was."
So how are you guys preparing yourselves to get in that water?
I wore uh jeans, uh boots and socks to get in the water.
You got your O'Neals on though, you look like you're pretty prepared. Cool plaid pants, I like that, the best.
Yeah, I'm ready to go fly fishing.
Oh, come on, save the beard.
Rub it with the mic, it makes a good sound. It'll insulate my face.
What is one piece of advice you guys can give to people on how to actually deal with a heartache and what's your way of getting over it?
You just smother yourself with your Cabbage Patch Kids, you know? Just go in the bed, eat some Oreos for about a week. Shut all the blinds down and, there you go. Emerge a new person. Right, D. D. , Chris?
Stay drunk. For a good stay drunk for a good month and a half.
All right. Looks like we're all starting now.
And when you sober up, you're fine.
There we go. All right, guys, thank you so much. Young Hollywood.
It's pretty jarring at first. It's just really hard to play double time, stand in freezing ass water and try to look cool. I defeat. It's pretty jarring at first. It's just really hard to play double time.
