Young Hollywood

Hey Young Hollywood, I am Michelle Marie here with OneRepublic.

Meet The Guys

We are a very happy family right over here.

Young Hollywood

The song that you guys have, "Apologize". That is one song that I have to say that I can never, ever get sick of. Why is that?

Meet The Guys

I've had radio people tell me in the industry, they're like, this is called a no-burn song. It doesn't wear on you. I'm not like, I'm not screaming at you. Nothing about the song is harsh. It captures an emotion that that you always have. There's something about "Apologize" that that meets you whatever emotion you're at. So, when I'm happy, I like to listen to "Apologize". If I'm depressed or sad, I listen to "Apologize". If I'm angry, I listen to "Apologize".

Young Hollywood

Timbaland, by I might say he is like the hottest producer right now. And you guys are the first rock band to sign with him. What is that like?

Meet The Guys

We don't really fit into any one genre so much. Uh, the album, the album touches on a lot of different influences. So, Tim doesn't fit in anyone genre. So, that's where the that's why that combination makes sense.

Young Hollywood

You guys are on tour in Europe, and I hear that your song is really popular out there.

Meet The Guys

You go to like some country you've never been to before. And people are waiting at the airport and they want you to sign autographs and they're singing and they're like, they're like, that's the guy from "Apologize". To me, it's like really humbling.

Young Hollywood

Do you guys have any pre-rituals before you do go on stage?

Meet The Guys

Usually I try to not talk in loud environments.

Young Hollywood

And what do you do?

Meet The Guys

Uh, pita bread and hummus.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. You heard it first from Republic Young Hollywood.

Meet The Guys

I'm taking another chance, taking a shot for you. Oh, I need you like a heart needs a beat. But it's nothing new. And everybody, we're OneRepublic and you're watching Young Hollywood. Keep it locked.
