Welcome to Younghollywood. com. What's up Young Hollywood? It's Michelle Marie coming to you from the QSFM Gifting Lounge. We are here with Life House. We have Jason and Rick right here. Let's talk about your single halfway gone. Huge hit. How do you guys feel about the success?

It's just really cool. We're really excited and especially the fact that we haven't been on tour yet and it's doing so well on the radio is actually really exciting.

Now what's the key to actually making something a hit especially before you guys go on tour? That's that's pretty crazy.

You know what? I mean in the studio, I think when we when we wrote and recorded halfway gone, which is a single, we just knew that there was something special about it. It had an energy. It just was like jumping out of the speakers, you know, and all of us kind of looked at each other like this could be the one, you know.

Yeah. So if you guys were to describe your creative process, what are what's like the best formula?

We typically, I'll pick up a guitar and I'll just kind of play the chords until something jumps out that seems a little unique, you know, and that's something that I really haven't kind of thought of before. Then I'll start singing on top of that and I'll bring the song to the guys and then usually, you know, one thing leads to the next and we have a song on tape.

We have two of the guys missing right now. Tell us about what's going on with them.

That's a good question. We know where they are.

Where are you guys?

Where are you guys? We can't have a band with only two people.

So let's talk about how you guys came together in the very beginning. What's the what's the whole back story on you guys?

The back story is uh Jason and I were both rehearsing at the same rehearsal place and we crossed paths and see each other often but we never formally met.

Uh-huh.

Then it came around full circle. He they got rid of their drummer and I got fired from the gig I was doing.

Uh-huh.

And at random, I showed up and I was like, whoa hey I know you. It's crazy. We knew each other but we didn't really know each other but

Right.

It was all meant to be, you know?

It definitely was.

Part of your story is that you guys started out as a Christian band. So tell me about the whole evolution of how everything changed.

I don't know if we actually technically ever were a Christian band, but we got kind of put in that box, you know.

That was our role.

Yeah, because we had some songs that kind of lent itself sort of to more spiritual matters or whatever.

Uh-huh.

But to us, we just wanted to play music, you know, we're a rock band. We wanted to play music. So I think as the years have gone on, it's like some of those songs are interpreted that way. Right. And then they're interpreted uh in, you know, towards just a regular relationship. And for us, we encourage all of it. You know what I mean? However you want to take it, you can take it.

What do you guys do to stay in touch with your fans? Are you Twitter fanatics or Facebook?

What do we do? Fan clubs? We do a little bit of everything, you know, Facebook, uh, uh Twitter all the time, you know. And I think that the more you can just kind of stay connected and keep that pulse, that's your your best chance of of keeping people interested in your music.

What other artists right now do you guys love? Who are you listening to?

I like uh MGMT and The Ting Tings. When me and Rick found The Ting Tings, we love that that uh one hit that they had. It's just amazing, yeah.

Yeah. I mean there's a really don't you know.
