Let's start off talking about your new album, iSouljaBoyTell'Em. You guys just released it. Your new single "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" is doing really well right now.

It just good just to have that feeling back like the music's right, you know what I'm saying? That feeling, you know, my music video is out. Yeah, you know I miss you. I just want to kiss you, but I can't right now so baby kiss me through the phone. Got the whole R&B tip to it, too. Jim Johnson actually produced this record. He did "Lollipop" for Lil Wayne, "Whatever You Like" for T. I.

Let's talk about the animated series because I know that you casted a Carlton from Fresh Prince.

Basically what the show is about is me being a celebrity, superstar hip-hop rapper, and but I still have to go back to high school and maintain by the same rules. It's Beezy, the truth is what I'm telling. Got this clown dissing me, but where is his album selling? iPhone is a big role. In this cartoon he don't cut any slack just because I'm Soulja Boy and and I'm a rapper and I'm famous.

Back in high school, what were you actually really like?

I had a lot of friends or whatever, but I wasn't really just like the most popular dude in school. You know what I'm saying? I was like a class clown though. I used to make everybody laugh.

That's when it all started, you know, you uploaded your videos, you you were really smart and really innovative with getting your music out there, getting your dance moves out there. What inspired you to actually upload your first video to YouTube and to all these sites?

Basically, it was just me wanting more people to know me. You know, around the world, just not in my city. So I was like, this this could be a better way to do it. So I made the video and I put it up and the response that I got was, you know, good and I just kept doing it. It was just like a hobby to me.

From then, you have over 400 million views on your page. You got more than Barack Obama. What's up with that?

I mean I mean, um, I don't know like it was just a crazy feeling like after I started seeing all the views that I was getting and all the people subscribing to the videos, I just kept doing it and after I got signed to a record label, it played in my favor.

You know, the crazy thing too is that not only did you upload your music and all your videos but you really know how to connect to your fans.

I got this phone and it goes live straight to my website. So when I go live, it probably be like a thousand people watching me at a time. And then I got this camera that I call the YouTube camera. And after I record some, it just pops up and I stick it in the computer and it goes straight to YouTube. And I keep my laptop. So it was like three things that I keep with me.

And you're doing other things now. You got your clothing line and also your sneakers.

Yeah, I got my Soulja Boy Tell 'Em shoe that's in every Finish Line across America, the Yums and they're doing really well.

You really did become an overnight success. We saw you at the VMA's. We're gonna be cranking the Soulja Boy doing the Superman Dance. So expect the unexpected. We were asking all the other artists to do the Soulja Boy Dance. We got Lloyd doing like the R&B slow jam version. We got Three 6 Mafia, all these different guys doing your stuff. What did it feel like at that moment having all of these huge superstars knowing who you are, knowing your dance in the very beginning?

That's what I love most about my career when I was going up all the way up to the top. It's just like a wonderful feeling, man. I wish I could experience that again. Like I see Beyoncé on tour doing my dance. I see Chris Brown on stage. Like this is when I'm just now becoming a celebrity. Soulja Boy Tell 'Em freestyle, man. That what it do, man. Let me get my goons behind me, man. We gonna rock for y'all one time. You know what I'm saying? You ready? Chyeah. I stack big faces. I stack all faces. Soulja Boy got more hits than baseball cages.
