Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. What's up Young Hollywood? It's Michelle Marie. I am here with Scooter Smith right here. It's his birthday today. You know we're having a big birthday party here right on stage.
All my friends here, my family.
So you have so many talents. You act, you dance, you sing, you write, you do everything. What is it that you don't do?
I can't model.
You should try it. You should do like a little look.
I want to model for Calvin Klein though. That is my dream right there.
That is that your next step? Where to Tyson walk down a runway like that? Tyson? You know the briefs though. Not not the tiny white the briefs though. The craziest thing is that Chris Brown is a huge supporter. How did you guys actually meet?
Well my friend Miles, he met Chris Brown and broke it down for him real quick. Chris was like, "Oh, I like you." Bring him on the tour. By the time the tour was over, it's time for Chris to do the 49th Annual Grammys. So he was looking for another kid. So he called me. He was like, "Do you want to do the Grammys with me?" You know I jumped out. I looked to my right. I see Beyonce. I'm like, yeah, that's what you girl. That's what you girl.
Obviously Chris knew you're a really, really good dancer. And then your mom uploaded one of your rap videos on MySpace. You were just freestylin' to it.
Yeah, he seen it actually and he was like, "Oh, so you're a rapper?" I'm like, "Oh, you didn't know?" They called me out of school early and said Jimmy Iovine wants to meet with you and you know, to see if he can sign you. So I went there, I rapped for him. And it was this one punchline. I said, "So tell Jimmy Iovine to get with me. I just be in my prime with 50 turn 60."
You guys collaborated with Head of My Class. Tell me about the song.
This song is basically about kids who are the most popular, the most smartest, who get straight A's, who get all the girls, and you like to jog and you get, you just like the head of everybody. Who was in the street in my go-kart. Pull to the side. Step on the floor. Hop on the whip to get to school on this fly little thing that was looking cool.
You're so lucky and you have such a great man behind you. What is the qualities about Chris that you really, really love?
He's like a big brother to me. He tells me what not to do. He tells me what to do. Make sure you do this, make sure you listen to your mom and make sure you do your school work.
What was like your most memorable experience with his fans?
I had on my footies. You know when you go to sleep you have the nineties. They came and grabbed me, threw me in the air, tried to take my footies off. They didn't know what I had under my footies. I had my draws on. I had some Calvin Klein.
Are you kidding me? You have so much game. Where did you learn your game from? Is there anybody that you looked up to?
I looked up to a bunch of artists. Barney, Teletubbies, DMX. I used to know all the lyrics when I was straight. Done that, done that, done that. I didn't know what I was saying but I knew the whole song. Only Barney though, 'cause he had the music. He played the banjo.
We have so much energy. I actually want to see a little dance move from you.
All right so this dance is basically called the "On Jack" Hey, Scoot and Smith went up the hill. He rolled There you go. See, that's the "On Jack". See, she can dance. She can be with Chris Brown and all. So, what's up? It's your boy Scoot and Smith. About to do a freestyle. You know Young Hollywood. What happened to hip-hop? Changed his name to Scooter because of me. Your chick got a Jadakiss confuser. Every website wish they could. They can't do it. Just like Young Hollywood. Yeah!
