Nikki Novak here for Young Hollywood. It's loud in here. We can only be at an Abercrombie & Fitch party. We are celebrating the Making of a Star campaign. I'm here with Greg Sulkin at the Abercrombie party. I am here with Katie Stevens. I'm here with Chelsea Murray. I love how Max Adler comes and like smoke. It's like a smoke machine. Where are the shirtless Abercrombie males? I don't see any. I don't know, but they had some greeters outside that were like, have a good time, ladies. Did you see them? I'm like, did they tell you to seduce me on the way in? Cuz it's working. I'm here with Debby Ryan. I'm here with Kylie Bunbury. Grandma, will you make sure that I don't move my feet?
I will make sure that you do not move your feet.
The other people that are in the campaign, are you friends? Are you
I'm a one of my really good friends is Stephen. So uh McQueen. So um, you know, we make fun of each other and he's shirtless over there behind me with his butterfly tattoo.
Colton just, you walk by Colton, you were teasing him. He said you guys are good buddies.
Yeah, yeah, we are.
So let's talk about shooting this campaign. Had you shot with Bruce Weber before, or is this your first time?
I shot with him for Teen Vogue like a long time I think years ago. And uh, and then I got a call about this and and saw an an opportunity to work with him again and I was I was ecstatic.
It was Bruce Weber that shot this campaign. He's amazing and he's super fun and just makes you not feel like you're doing anything wrong. So, he gives uh direction very well and he's just super nice. So, it was a lot of fun and I didn't feel pressured at all. I just had a good time.
Bruce Weber, had you shot with him before?
I'd shot with him this is my fourth time working with him. And um, you know, it's always fun every time because he's such an oh, he's such an amazing artist, a great person. Oh, yeah, he's just the best.
How was it shooting with Bruce?
Unreal. Bruce is a legend and I've seen his work and I've seen his work with everyone that he's shot and all of the past members of the campaign. And so to to see him, to be there on set with him, to be collaborating with him and listening to his ideas and him picking up on my personality and incorporating those things into the shoot, unreal. Yeah. I think Bruce's tactic is to sort of get to know you and then bring the best out of you. So he had me he knew me right away. He had me like, which is what? How? What do you mean? He had me like on the grounds, lying in the grass, lying in the leaves. I like to be close to nature anyway.
So, Bruce Weber, how did you guys doing like a lot of sports and whatever. What was the most fun? Like what was the highlight?
The highlight for me was meeting Bruce Weber. He is incredible. And his work is amazing, yeah. So meeting him was probably the highlight for me and then also being being in Santa Barbara, which is so beautiful.
I kind of think I might know the answer to my first question, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway. Congratulations on the Making of a Star campaign. Your former alum, Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Wilde, Ashton Kutcher. Which one of those people would you most want to go fishing with for the day?
Oh, Channing Tatum for sure.
Really? I thought you were going to say Jennifer Lawrence.
Well, you know, it's it's cool because oh, what's she was an option. Ooh. Ah, ah. See, cuz like Channing Tatum and Ashton Kutcher are really hot, but like Jennifer Lawrence is really funny and I kind of want to be friends with her. Imagine, it's a Girl Power. Jennifer Lawrence, let's hang out and go fishing.
Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Wilde, or Ashton Kutcher?
Channing Tatum. I already knew. I knew. I already knew who they were, so I was like, Channing Tatum. If I went with Taylor Swift, she might write a song about me, so I can't do that. Just don't break her heart.
Uh, I feel like Channing Tatum, you'd be able to bro out with. Jen Lawrence, 100%. I would do I would like hang out with Jennifer Lawrence to any capacity. I would bake cookies with her. I would go dirt bike riding with her. I would we would have a paintball party. We would climb trees and hang out. For some reason, I feel like she's probably the only person that's like borderline as bro as I am. So that's why I'm not just saying like frolic around in heels with her.
Jennifer Lawrence. Because like while Channing Tatum is super hot and I would love to be alone with him. I'm a runner-up. Yeah, I just don't feel like like the conversation would flow. Like I'd just be like, you're really pretty. And you'd be like, how's your wife? Yeah, how's the baby? So I'll say Olivia Wilde, cuz I think she seems really rad.
For spoke for Olivia Wilde. I'm so glad.
Yeah. She's beautiful and she's a strong, feminine woman in Hollywood, and I love that.
Jennifer Lawrence.
Why Jennifer?
Did you see her in Winter's Bone? She'd for sure know how to fish. She'd know how to catch them fish. Everybody else from the campaign that I've asked like, they'd be fun to hang out with. And you're like, no, they need to know how to fish.
Which one would you most want to go fishing with for the day?
My buddy is Kellen Lutz, who's not on this list, but he's the former Abercrombie model. And I'm going to say his name cuz he's a great guy. Kellen.
We love Kellen. I'm asking everybody who's in the campaign tonight, a tip for taking a good photo. So what would be your tip?
Inner monologue. It's the same thing as acting. So like, what are you thinking? On the carpet out there, I was thinking, please don't look freezing. And then I realize then I'm going to look like I'm freezing. So then I realize I was thinking to myself and this is true. I was like, wait till you hear my rock and roll music. And so I was like, wait till you hear my rock and roll music. That's what I was doing.
A tip for taking a great photo, I would say, just find out what your best side is. Cuz my best side is my left side. That's why I want my left side like, hey! And then just stand tall and look confident.
I'm asking everybody that's in the campaign tonight, tip for taking a good photo.
A tip for taking a good photo, would be to um, if you're if your mouth is closed, you're supposed to bite your jaw, I guess. And if your mouth so like, so if your mouth is closed, you bite your jaw. So if your mouth is open, you suck in a bit. So.
How do you do an interview like that? Between talking, you bite your jaw.
Hello, Young Hollywood. And then you talk. For me, it's like I'll, you know, I kind of have like the bevel of the leg and the hand on the hip. That was perfect.
I mean, I don't know if I can give advice on that because I'm not even good at it. Um, no. I I try. I've tried to do I've tried to learn the smizing and the like, little
Show, can you show? How about tips for taking a good photo? Because this is about photos and looking beautiful.
Oh, always have the camera above your head. So you're looking up. And yeah, yeah, it's this is really good, very flattering. So good.
What do you think makes a star?
Well, it depends. I think you're born with star quality in my opinion. Um, also how you treat people, how dedicated you are. The most talented people that I've worked with have also been the nicest, the smartest, the most genuine, caring people. And I really think it's that whole package.
What do you think makes a star? What makes what makes
Confidence. You said that with confidence. Um, confidence. It's easy to be nice to like a big director or like a big producer, but also the guy who does, you know, the caterer on set or something, you know, I think it's really important to make sure you're nice to everyone.
Who do you think has really fresh style right now?
Ooh, there's I mean, I love I love Jennifer Lawrence's style. She's just always like it's like it's not trying too hard, but it's like always classy and beautiful. I also love Emilia Clarke's style. I think she's got like this classic kind of 1950s ass kind of style, which I love.
Who do I think has great style? You know, Bradley Cooper has great style. He's cool. Um, also, uh, Eddie Redmayne. He's got great style. I like Taylor Swift. There's like something about like hanging out in like Oxfords and flats and like just going like for you know, she always looks tailored. Tailored. She always looks slightly put-together. That was good. That was a good part. I didn't even mean to. That's how long I've been on a sitcom.
I'm lame and I kind of really like all the vintage-y things. So like, I love Katy Perry, um because she likes to throw it back to that. I really like Olivia Palermo. She's unbelievable. How many closets do you think she has? I don't know.
Who do I think has my style? Has good style. Has good style? Um, Justin Timberlake and Michael Bublé. My gosh. I should have came prepared.
Kerry Washington always looks really good.
Blake Lively always looks good, but I guess Wait, um, who's really like current right now? Um, I'm just going to go with those. What is like one either fashion item, trend, something that you're all about right now?
What I'm all about right now, if if he can pan out. Or are they kicks? Check check out the I love these kicks. I was always into like the beanie phase, but now I really like bandanas. So like a white bandana with a dress, like tied with braids. I thought that was so cute. So I really like bandanas. Well, um, if you see something that I'm bringing back right now, it's uh, it's called the fork. It's a um, it's a fork. Uh, and uh so in Kansas in high school, we used to do we used to wear these all the time. Like we thought it was a cool fad. So now I'm just trying to bring it back, you know? Um, it's very like omisong like song of style to wear the jacket over your shoulders, but it's just so much easier because I put my jacket on and off like three times coming into this party cuz I'm cold, but I have to keep taking photos. So just over the shoulder. Effortless chic. I like dresses and boots. That's my favorite.
So do I. I like dresses and boots. Good. Good.
Yeah, like for this event, I wasn't sure if it was dressy or casual. So I wore kind of like a dressy dress with some casual booties. And it like tips it out.
One day when you have your own clothing line and you have like a multi-million dollar empire.
Well, that's that's well, we'll see if that is going to be happening very, very soon. Oh. Oh, did you see that look? There's a team there's a team. I didn't say anything. Just before we started rolling, Greg told me something. Uh, that I was maybe going to find a nice lady here tonight. I mean, this is the place to do it. You're I've been here three minutes and I've seen about 50. So, yeah. I mean, Abercrombie & Fitch party, you kind of expect everybody's going to be good looking, right?
Yeah, no, exactly. And after this interview, that's what I'll be doing. Let's just say a shirtless Abercrombie model is getting fresh with me, and I'm just not having it. What would I do? You say, hey, Stephen, come here. Come here, take care of this for me. Oh, perfect. So you're going to be my bodyguard? Are you protecting me?
I mean, if you insist, I volunteer. Oh, congratulations. Thank you so much. Best dressed. I'm saying it. Ah, thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you.
Well, it was great to see you. Wonderful. Oh, good out here. Thank you for chatting with us. You look gorgeous.
Thank you. Go out with go out with your bubble. Let's go out with your bubble. Thanks, Young Hollywood.
