Hi, I'm Stacy. I'm here at Project Las Vegas. Let's see what's going on. Welcome to Young Hollywood. I'm here with Suzy from the line California Rising. Can you tell us a little bit more about the clothing line?
Basically our line is about California Rising. People that flock to California are of a certain mindset. They have a higher way of thinking, a state of mind if you will. We believe in the passion of making quality products that will last and that have amazing fabrications, so we're focusing on the details.
I'm here with Cedric from TV Free. Can you tell us a little bit about your line?
Well, it's a sportswear line, mostly sweat suits. Um, very young, funky, high-end, very cool and sexy, a lot of colors, nice artwork.
I just met Lindsay, a model for Life and Death, and she's going to take you in to meet some of the designers. Thanks, Lindsay. I'm here with Alec and Philip, and they are two of the designers for Life and Death. Tell me a little bit about your line.
Our line is very high-end, sophisticated. It's for men and women. And it's very kind of a Victorian rock and roll, that's what we call it.
I'm Joe Alderman with Young Hollywood. How did you get started with the top brand?
Well, basically, um, I had an idea of starting a denim line. Um, and what we did was we wanted to do market research and see what people wanted in jeans. So I basically moved into a U-Haul for about a year. Went from New York to LA, visited 42 cities and um, did market research with all my competitors jeans in search of the perfect jean. And by doing that, I got to meet, you know, 26,000 women. I have an email list of 26,000 women that I talk to about different brands, what they like, what they don't like. And I sort of put it all together and came up with this concept of genetic denim. Our tagline is it's all in your jeans.
Now, hats are all the craze. Everyone loves hats. What's in right now? What's everyone looking for?
Um, a lot of um, small fedora shapes, small brims, uh, and just a very casual look. I like this one.
I'm here with Mark and Ice with William Rasc. What is going on this weekend? Tell us a little bit about Project.
Project is, you know, we wrapped up. We had the most record-breaking show ever. Um, there's been a lot of momentum going with the brand since we launched it at Project a year and a half ago. Um, and it's just been growing and growing with the demand with the product. The fit of jeans is first and foremost anything that makes a girl want where you where a jeans. Justin's endorsing it because he will not wear anything that he doesn't feel quality himself. And not that he will go out there and say, hey, look at me wear this, but he wants it to stand on its own, which it's doing very well.
Well, as you can see, everyone's breaking down and heading out. With Young Hollywood, I'm Joe Alderman.
