Welcome to younghollywood. com. Hey everybody, I'm Michelle Marie and Young Hollywood is just about to get a sneak peek of Jamie Presley's new spring fashion line. So we are backstage in the middle of all the madness here with Jamie Presley.
I'm I'm really excited. We happen to have some really amazing people working with us tonight. The Ross team for hair, uh benefits for makeup. All the sponsors have donated money that goes directly to St. Jude Children Hospital.
What does it take to actually put together a show?
The 20-minute show has been the last four months of our lives. No matter what happens and no no matter how organized you are, there's always an Indian fire drill at the end.
What kind of inspiration do you have for this year's spring line?
I recently hired Wayne Baro to be my new collabored designer and so we stepped up the line a bit because working with her, I can work with any fabric I want. So instead of just a strict uh model knit jersey line. We now have um satin stretch, silk, boil, eyelet, chiffon, linen. I mean we run the gamut. It's a little more tailored, a little more conservative. Yet, it's still sexy and sophisticated at the same time.
Well, you definitely have a great look and you've had a huge year this year. Congratulations on all your recent success. On your Emmy, how did it feel to take that Emmy home?
After 13 years of being in the business, it was kind of like a breath of fresh air, a sigh of relief. And then I had to go back to work at 5:00 a. m. the next day.
So how do you manage to balance your life? You have your new baby, baby Dey, and you also have your Emmy, and you have your show, and you have your line. How do you balance it all?
Um, I always say smart people hire smarter people to work for them and with them and I happen to have a really amazing group of people that I get to work with on my team.
So we are here hanging out with Erica Bacchi. What kind of flavor are you going to add to the show?
Like a lot of fashion shows I've been to like very mainstream hip hop stuff, but you're going to get the feel of it when you see the music. A bunch of like very eerie, moody music. Very sexy music.
Sexy. So you guys have recently welcomed a new addition to your family, Dzzy James. Tell me what the experience is like being a father.
Uh, it's different cuz I used to live a really fast lifestyle and it slowed me down and it made me a better person. There's a point when you connect with your child and I connected with him and I'm just I'm in love with him. Like it's weird.
What's like the one piece of clothing that you want to dress your kid in when he gets a little bit older?
Nike Air Force 1's. Of course. I'm wearing them right now.
I know, right? Yeah. So we're good. All right, and I am in a America's smartest model sandwich, which I guess. That's she is. I'm the bread and but you guys are the bread, I'm the butter. It's a low carb sandwich haven't it. So we're out here at Boulevard 3. You guys just checked out Jamie Presley's new line. What do you think about the line?
Honestly, the line was great. I was impressed. I didn't know Jamie, come on. I mean, people that can do balance different careers, fashion, acting, modeling. Unbelievable. Second guest: And she's a mom.
Yeah, and she's a mom. Big props. Second guest: Unbelievable.
Yeah. Is there anything out there that you want to say to Young Hollywood, any bit of advice that you can give to them?
One word, believe.
