Caroline D’Amore’s Sexy Swimwear Collection

Welcome to Young Hollywood. Hey everyone, Nikki Novak here for Young Hollywood on the roof of the Thompson Hotel. We're here to check out the 2011 Demori Swim Fashion Show. Here with Caroline Demori, the designer. How are you? You excited?

I am good. I'm excited but I'm also extremely nervous. This is my first fashion show for my line Demori Swim and it's just literally me and my partner Ryan Horn putting the entire thing together ourselves and I've never done this before, so.

You picked a great venue. Rooftop. Everybody's going to be happy. Love the Thompson Hotel, love the rooftop overlooking the city. Could not be happier. So why swimwear first? Are you going to go? I assume you're probably going to delve into other. I mean, you look gorgeous, your dress is gorgeous, but why swimwear first? You're a swimwear model, aren't you?

I was. Yeah. I retired early. And I decided I'm I'm more of a businesswoman than a model. And for me, it was just really, I never thought there was enough awesome suits that express who you are as a fashionista that are out there and available to everybody. So Your suits are like rocker cool for the cool girls that there's so many hip LA cool girls that dress all in their black and then you get them on the beach and they don't have anything to wear. Right. So what I did was, this collection's called the Gemini collection, because I'm a Gemini.

Me too! What day?

June 9th. 24th is my birthday. Yay! Oh, perfect day to have a show. Right? So, I decided to make it basically like me, which is can't decide. I'm it's half girly vintage and half rock and roll chic. We're like the Gemini twins because this is the girly vintage today. And this is rock and roll chic. So that's exactly what my entire collection is about. Second guest: I love how outspoken she is. She is an amazing designer. And that's why I'm here. I don't I really don't go out to much. But this is something that I believe in and I'll be wearing. So girls have to follow.

Thank you so much for I love your body too. It's very pretty. Very sexy. Oh, is turquoise hot? I I feel like I'm like so excited that I'm on I'm on point with fashion because I'm wearing turquoise. Second guest: Turquoise is hot right now. But every cut right now, it's tribal, it's metal, it's everything right now, which is the fun part. You can mix and mingle everything.

So you had to like you paired a lot of chunky jewelry with the swimwear which was so sexy. Tell us like where that inspiration came from with all that cool those cool doubled-up necklaces. Second guest: I I get inspired by material. I never know what I come up with before I see the material. So I just cruise around. I like collecting things at swap meets. So I like to use vintage recycled. But then I like color. So and I have offbeat materials that's what people like. You never know what to expect that I come up with every week.
