What To Expect From 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2!'

OPA! (sorry, it had to be done.)

The time has finally come, and our favorite Greek family is back! It’s hard to believe that it has been 14 years since My Big Fat Greek Wedding was released and became (and remains) the highest grossing indie rom-com of all time. If you haven’t heard, the ENTIRE cast came back to shoot the sequel -- literally, the ENTIRE cast. How awesome is that? You all know we want to see Gus using Windex on everything!

It looks like we’re in for a treat as an unexpected member of the family realizes their marriage license was never signed. YIKES!

What we can definitely expect is another BIG fat Greek wedding. From the trailer, we see that it is actually Gus (Michael Constantine) and Maria (Lainie Kazan) that never officially got married, after having instilled the importance of marriage on their family -- oh, the irony! Hopefully we will see the Miller family bring a Bundt cake filled with a plant at the wedding. Meanwhile, it looks like Toula (Nia Vardalos) and Ian’s (John Corbett) daughter is all grown up and heading off to college (they must have taken some liberties with the timeline for this one). Toula appears to be struggling with the idea of her daughter moving away from the Portokalos family and becoming more empathetic with her own mother's sentiments. The tables have really turned!

Raise your hand -- or, in this case, tweet us -- if you expect to see a fight between Nikki (Gia Carides) and Angelo (Joey Fatone)? These two got into it quite a few times in the first film; it will be interesting to see what they will argue about this time. Secretly, I’m expecting/hoping Angelo will break out into an epic “Bye, Bye, Bye” dance number, but that’s just me.

I’m already trying to figure out how Gus will find how the root of the word iPhone is Greek? Somehow you know he will.

All in all, we are on board to see this film when it releases this Friday, March 25 – [screams with excitement!]

What are YOU most excited about seeing from our favorite Greek Family?
