So, have y’all finished your binge-watching of “Orange Is The New Black” Season 2 yet? I started last Friday and finished on Tuesday night. It was a fun few days, but now I find myself staring at a blank TV screen, Apple TV remote in hand, thinking, “Now what?”
The drawback of the binge-watch of web-only shows is that it’s over so quickly, as opposed to the slow burn and anticipation of watching a weekly series on TV. “Event Television” still exists, of course, and there is definitely still some value in it, whereas a show like “OITNB” is designed to be consumed at the viewer’s own pace.
But once the thrill is gone, once all 13 episodes have been devoured like that waffle after Piper’s starve-out, we’re left feeling kinda… empty.
Luckily, Crazy Eyes herself – AKA the fabulous Uzo Aduba – is weaning us off from our “OITNB” addiction with a hilarious Funny or Die video which sees our favorite bantu-knotted actress “auditioning” to play some of the other inmates!
