ICYMI: More Dino-Shenanigans on the Horizon for Netflix's "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous" Series!
If the multi-billion dollar Jurassic Park film franchise has taught us anything, it’s that humans rarely learn from their mistakes. Despite the predictable dinosaur-related incidents that occur in every movie, humans never stop trying to genetically engineer dinosaurs for a quick buck. If you think for just a second that it’s finally gonna work out in the new Netflix animated series “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous”, well then I guess you’re human.
The new DreamWorks Animation spinoff is set within the timeline of the 2015 film Jurassic World. Starring Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras, who are also the executive producers, “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” follows a group of 6 teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. As you may have predicted, something goes terribly wrong and the group is left stranded with no means of communicating with the outside world. Shocker, I know. Their survival is dependent on their ability to transition from strangers to family.
What makes this series interesting is that its plot falls more or less in line with the other Jurassic franchise films. Does this mean we will get to see some of our favorite characters from past films? Probably.
The series is set to premier globally in 2020.
