'Chemical Hearts' Trailer Starring Lili Reinhart Is Out & This Is a Movie You Don’t Want to Miss!
Based on the best-selling novel Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland comes the upcoming Richard Tanne movie Chemical Hearts available on Amazon Prime Video August 21. Chemical Hearts stars "Riverdale" actress Lili Reinhart opposite Austin Abrams from HBO’s "Euphoria". Besides Reinhart and Abrams, you can also catch Kara Young, Sarah Jones, Adhir Kalyan, and Bruce Altman in the film. With the release of the trailer just a few days ago, we are counting down the days till its release and are getting our tissues ready!
Throughout the movie, we follow the story of two high school seniors -- Henry Page, a hopeless romantic, and Grace Town, the new transfer student who wears oversized men’s clothes and walks with a cane. The two unexpectedly cross paths when they are both chosen to co-edit the school newspaper, and even though the two seem to be polar opposites, they begin to grow closer and closer. As Henry learns Grace’s most tragic secret, he begins to fall more and more in love with her. But, Chemical Hearts is a love story quite different than many of the teenage dramas that have been shared on the big screen before; this one features an unusual love story.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in June, Lili Reinhart described the upcoming movie: “Chemical Hearts is the kind of movie that portrays young love in a realistic light in the sense that it f—ing hurts sometimes. And oftentimes it does not go the way you want it to. And you can have this idea of someone and they don't measure up to what you want them to be." With love often comes pain, and as both Henry and Grace struggle to discover themselves throughout their high school journey, it comes as no surprise that their relationship has struggles as well.
Based on both Lili’s interview and the trailer, Chemical Hearts will be showing us a darker, more realistic side to a teenage love story. The story will not only focus on Henry and Grace falling in love but will also showcase betrayal, pain, and the messiness of a real relationship, because love is not always how it looks in the movies! So get your popcorn and your tissues ready, because August 21 is right around the corner!
