Tom Hiddleston beats Pattinson to top of Sexiest Actor poll

Tom Hiddleston has been named the Sexiest Actor Alive in a new magazine poll.

The Avengers actor has toppled Twilight's Robert Pattinson on Total Film's hot hunks countdown. Pattinson came in second.

Drive star Ryan Gosling came in third place while Hiddleston's War Horse co-star Benedict Cumberbatch came in fourth. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey actor Richard Armitage landed fifth place in the poll.

Meanwhile, Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer Lawrence topped the girls list, ahead of Hiddleston's The Avengers castmate Scarlett Johansson in second and Pattinson's Twilight leading lady Kristen Stewart in third position.

The Amazing Spider-Man stunner Emma Stone came in fourth place with Black Swan beauty Mila Kunis rounding off the ladies in fifth place.

More than 25,000 readers took part in the annual poll.
