The Wanted's Tom Parker cheats death in car near-miss

The Wanted star Tom Parker has vowed to curb his boozing after cheating death during a drunken night out in America.

The British pop singer came within seconds of a potentially fatal collision with a car after stumbling out of a nightclub, and the terrifying incident was caught on camera by waiting photographers.

Parker didn't realise just how close he came to serious harm until he watched the footage, and admits it has frightened him into cutting down his alcohol consumption.

He tells Britain's The Sun, "I sprinted across the road and I was half a second from being hit by a car. I was like, 'I nearly died!' They film every time you come out of a club in the States and I saw the video the following day. It was close. I'm going to have to curb the drinking for a bit."
