St. Vincent has been recruited to serve as ambassador for this year's (17) Record Store Day.
The singer/songwriter, real name Annie Clark, will become the first female to hold the title in Record Store Day's 10-year history.
Previous ambassadors have included Dave Grohl, Jack White, Ozzy Osbourne, and Iggy Pop, while Metallica took on the role in 2016.
"It is with deep honor and humility that I accept this ambassadorship. Rest assured I do not take my duties lightly," St. Vincent said.
This year's Record Store Day, which serves as a celebration of independent record stores, will fall on 22 April.
