Singer Ruben Studdard signs up to TV weight-loss show

Ruben Studdard is returning to his reality TV roots in a bid to shed the pounds on weight-loss competition The Biggest Loser.

The former American Idol champ, who has struggled to keep his weight under control for years, managed to slim down following his 2008 marriage to Surata Zuri McCants, but his waistline started expanding again after they split in 2011.

However, Studdard will now be hoping to get in shape with the help of professionals after signing up to star on the upcoming 15th season of The Biggest Loser, reports People.com.

The singer will make his debut on the show this autumn (13).
