Shenae Grimes details rock 'n' roll wedding in new blog

Shenae Grimes has shared the details of her "rock 'n' roll" wedding in a post on her new blog, uploading pictures of her big day and revealing why she opted to walk down the aisle in a black dress.

The 90210 star married British model Josh Beech at a countryside estate just outside of London in May (13), and she has now published her wedding pictures online.

Grimes exchanged vows with Beech while wearing an eye-catching black wedding dress, and she has now admitted why she shunned a traditional white gown.

In a post on her new online blog, she writes, "I... couldn't imagine myself as a blushing bride in white! I tried on a few beautiful cream lace gowns and while my mom and friends... thought I looked pretty... it just wasn't me! In an exasperated long shot, I googled the well-known bride go-to Vera Wang and saw pictures of her recent collection of all-black wedding dresses!... For the first time I found an outfit that I could picture myself saying my 'I dos' in...

"As soon as I texted my mom a picture of me in THE dress she began incessantly texting and calling me... I was sold... I threw caution to the wind and started my fittings! At that moment I realised I could still be a blushing princess bride that most little girls dream of but do it in my own rock n roll kinda way. And the best part? Josh loved it!"

Grimes has shared pictures of the newlyweds signing the register, posing with the wedding party, and another intimate snap which shows Grimes in her dress before walking out to meet her groom.

The couple began dating last year (12) and became engaged in December (12).
