Ryan Lochte's fiancee pregnant

Disgraced Olympian Ryan Lochte is set to become a first-time father.

The swimmer and model's new fiancee, Playboy model Kayla Rae Reid, is pregnant with the couple's first child.

Ryan and his girl announced the news via social media on Wednesday (14Dec16), by posting an underwater photo of swimmer kissing Kayla's tiny baby bump. He captioned the snap: "My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year! Best news I've ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017."

The mother-to-be posted a similar shot and revealed the baby wasn't planned, but she is thankful for the blessing.

"Just when you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when (you) least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you!"

The news comes two months after Ryan proposed to Kayla on a cliff overlooking the ocean in Malibu, California.

It's not clear how long the couple has been dating, as Ryan repeatedly denied the relationship while competing in the Rio Olympics in Brazil over the summer (16), but she stood by his side after he was exposed as a liar after claiming he and three teammates had been robbed at gunpoint by men dressed as police officers following a party on 14 August (16).

The sportsman later amended the details of his story and apologized for his drunken account.

Following an investigation, Brazilian police officials claimed the swimmers vandalized a gas station restroom and the security guards had every right to apprehend them.

He has since been charged with filing a false report and will have to return to a Rio de Janeiro court to defend his actions.
