Rose Leslie: 'Kit Harington stitched me up!'

Kit Harington hung his girlfriend Rose Leslie out to dry with her Game Of Thrones cover up.

The British actor shocked fans when his character in the hit fantasy series, Jon Snow, rose from the dead at the start of season six.

Rose, 29, used to star in Game of Thrones, but has double insider knowledge thanks to her romance with Kit, also 29. When it came to Jon’s resurrection the storyline was a closely guarded secret, so accordingly Rose denied all knowledge of knowing about it. Unfortunately Kit happily told chat show host Jimmy Kimmel he’d confided in his other half.

“I’m such a moron,” she laughed to Britain’s Evening Standard newspaper. “I had been spewing this lie for over a year... It just regurgitated out of me to the point where it was almost effortless.

“I was completely oblivious to the fact that Kit hung me out to dry! It was so funny when I found out. So, yes that was me being unaware and not being able to pick up the ball beforehand. He should have said, ‘By the way, I’m going to speak to Jimmy about it.’ But I did find it quite funny.”

The pair met on the set of Game of Thrones, but denied their relationship at first. However Kit sweetly revealed in a recent interview with Vogue Italia that his favorite part of filming the show was shooting in Iceland during season two, as it was there he fell in love.

Asked how she copes with the intense interest in their romance, Rose admits it’s easy when you’re not active online.

“I’m a dinosaur when it comes to social media,” she shrugged. “I don’t have any personal accounts, so I don’t really know if there’s much attention. I’m aware because of the shows and there is some element of hype behind it. But I genuinely, genuinely don’t try to engage on that front. I try to keep myself relatively private. I don’t really look for anything so it’s not really there in my periphery.”
