Prince Jackson pulls out of TV appearance after Paris' suicide attempt

Michael Jackson's son Prince Michael has pulled out of a scheduled appearance on a German TV show after his sister Paris was hospitalised on Wednesday (05Jun13) following an apparent suicide attempt.

Paris, 15, was slated to appear on Wettan, dass...? on Saturday (08Jun13), but was replaced at the last minute by her 16-year-old brother, who agreed to travel to Mallorca, Spain to film a segment for the popular entertainment programme.

However, Prince Michael has bowed out of his appearance to be close to his family after his sibling was admitted to hospital early on Wednesday morning.

A spokeswoman for German TV station ZDF told People.com on Thursday (08Jun13) that the Wettan, dass...? production team is in contact with Prince Michael's management team and his trip to Europe has been cancelled.

Silke Blomer said, "Under these circumstances, we perfectly understand that Prince Michael prefers to stay close to his family. We wish Paris the strength and the power to recover soon."

Paramedics responded to an emergency call regarding "a possible overdose", but Paris is now believed to be in a stable condition.
