Paris Jackson following in Michael's musical footsteps

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson appears to be following in her late father's footsteps after she released three clips of herself singing.

The 17-year-old released videos of herself covering classic hits including, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, If You Could Read My Mind, on the photo sharing website Instagram with the modest hashtag "#AmateurHour" (18Mar16).

In the footage, taken before her recent short bleach-blonde hair transformation, Paris sports a black t-shirt and sings sweetly while playing on a black acoustic guitar.

The third throwback clip shows the teen giving a soulful rendition of Cage The Elephant's 2011 rock song Right Before My Eyes.

Paris, whose father Michael Jackson, died in 2009 at the age of 50 after an overdose of prescription drugs, recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to the King of Pop. The teenager posted composite picture of herself, arms folded in a matching biker jacket next to an old '80s image of Michael captioned "archangel"(12Mar16).

Paris has faced difficulties adjusting to life after the death of her father and was hospitalised in 2013 after a reported overdose.

She was recently forced to hit back at her Instagram fans, revealing her struggles with alcohol abuse, she said: "I have AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings to go to. Family obligations. Personal obligations. Its so f**king selfish that I am literally attacked on every f**king thing I post just because people that I don't even know aren't getting what they want.

"I don't know any of you. I appreciate the love and support, but the expectations are f**king ridiculous. The expectations for my Dad were f**king ridiculous. He didn't owe you anything, yet he was ripped to shreds daily. I will not let that happen to me."

Her fans have responded well to her latest video posts, remarking that she clearly shares her dad love of music, with one posting: I love you Paris. And you have a amazing voice like your Dad (sic)."

Paris is Michael's second child from his marriage to nurse Debbie Rowe, her older brother Michael Joseph Jackson Jr is 19. The identity of the surrogate mother to Michael's third child Prince Michael, 14, is not known.
