Paris Hilton calls for Philippines relief donations

Paris Hilton is urging her fans to donate to a relief fund for survivors of a deadly storm in the Philippines over the weekend (17-18Dec11).

The southern Philippines island of Mindanao was hit by flash flooding and more than 650 people lost their lives in the tragedy.

Thousands have been left homeless and Hilton has called on her fans to support the Philippine Red Cross organisation as relief efforts get underway.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "My heart goes out to everyone affected by the storm in the Philippines, help by donating to Philippine Red Cross."
