Niall Horan's Twitter page hacked

One Direction star Niall Horan was left scrambling to regain control of his Twitter.com page on Tuesday (09Jul13) after his account was hacked by a prankster.

The Irish singer was stunned to discover another user had accessed his account on the social networking website and was sending out strange messages.

His loyal fans pointed out the security breach by making "Niall change your password" one of the top trending topics on Twitter earlier in the day, and Horan moved quickly to fix the situation.

He told his 12.4 million followers, "Ok my Twitter is being hacked as we speak! Unfollowing people! DMin (direct messaging) people all kinda stuff! Will get control again. This is me!! Someone else is on the account with me."

The What Makes You Beautiful hitmaker later returned to the website with the update, "Ok I'm back! I hate hackers! Pain in the a**!"
