Naomie Harris' feared losing James Bond role over leak
Actress Naomie Harris spent three months terrified she would lose her role in the new James Bond movie if the casting news leaked ahead of the official announcement.
The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest star was first linked to Skyfall last June (11) and she admitted she was in the running for an appearance.
Her part as secret agent Eve was later confirmed, but Harris admits
the weeks she spent keeping the news to herself filled her with
anxiety.
She tells InStyle magazine, "I was cast three months before the
announcement. I was scared that if it leaked, I'd have the part
taken from me. Everybody kept saying to me, 'It's really big,
you're part of a big machine.' To be honest, I didn't believe
anyone, because I'd been part of Pirates and I thought, 'Well, I've
experienced that'. But Bond is a whole other level of attention and
press scrutiny."
