Miley Cyrus hires superfan as summer assistant

Miley Cyrus has hired one of her biggest fans to help her break records online.

The pop star/actress credits her "stalker" pal with boosting her profile in cyberspace and she's rewarding her by flying her out to spend the summer (13) with the Cyrus family.

Appearing on Tuesday's (25Jun13) Jimmy Kimmel Live! show in America, the We Can't Stop singer explained, "She's actually flying out here and staying with my mom this summer. She's gonna work for me for the summer."

The unnamed fan will help Cyrus stay on top of her schedule and explain what she needs to do to get new songs and videos posted on the most relevant websites.

She added, "No one tells me anything, I'm the last to know everything. I didn't even know about a schedule today. I didn't know what time I was gonna be here.

"She's more than a stalker because she's actually so obsessed... she knows things about how to break Vevo records, which we did with her help... She knows what has to be done and what amount of time to, like, be number one to break the record."

And Cyrus admits she's glad she trusted her new assistant with her personal phone numbers: "When I first called her, I called her off my friend's phone but then I just started texting her all the time. I bet she gets more annoyed with me than I get with her because I hit her up all the time. I'm like, 'Yo, how are we gonna make this happen? You've gotta make the fans trend this...' She's really amazing."

The fan's online prowess helped Cyrus to smash Justin Bieber's record for most video views within its first 24 hours on Vevo.com after her new promo for We Can't Stop racked up 10.7 million views in its first day online, passing the 10.6 million the Baby hitmaker achieved with Beauty and a Beat.
