Lana Del Rey surprises fans with album hotline
Singer Lana Del Rey has set up a special hotline for fans and published the number on the cover of her new album.
The artwork for the Video Games star's new record, Honeymoon, features a phone number emblazoned on the side of a bus.
Fans who call the line are treated to recordings of songs and
poetry recited by Lana herself.
Lana has also been surprising callers by occasionally picking up
the phone.
A recording of a conversation between Lana and a fan has been
posted online. Lana has also shared a video of herself on the phone
on her Instagram.com page.
The footage is captioned: "Call me. I'm home alone x"
Honeymoon is Lana's fourth studio album and was released last week
(ends20Sep15).
Lana previously said of recording the album, "I have so many fond
memories of recording this record, mostly because I love the
producer I recorded it with, Rick Nowels. I guess just being able
to go back-and-forth from the beach to the studio, and taking my
time with the production, and mixing over the last 12 months - plus
lots of early-morning coffee and vocal sessions."
