Avril Lavigne on the road to 'good health' after Lyme disease battle
Pop star Avril Lavigne finally has something to smile about in her year-long battle with Lyme disease - doctors have told her she's on her way to "good health".
The 30-year-old Complicated singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (22Sep15) and updated fans about her medical situation from her doctor's surgery.
Posting a photo of her arm and 13 vials of blood, she wrote, "On my
way to good health."
She then added a shot of herself smiling as she rested on a
treatment chair, and added the caption, "This journey continues...
Just reach up, don't give up until you've touch the sky... We were
all meant to fly..."
The inspiring caption included lyrics from her song Fly, which she
recorded for the Special Olympics organization and performed at the
World Games in July (15).
In a final posted picture, Lavigne uploaded a snap of herself
sitting on a beach and wrote, "Taking in the majesty of the
moment."
Lavigne wasn't wearing her wedding ring in any of the snaps. The
singer announced her split from her husband Chad Kroeger earlier
this month (Sep15).
