Kim Kardashian to attend charity event honoring late father
Kim Kardashian will reportedly make her first official public appearance since her Paris robbery on Monday (21Nov16), at an event to honor her late father.
Kanye West's wife was robbed at gunpoint in her apartment in Paris on 2 October (16), and she has canceled several public events, including a makeup class in Dubai, since the ordeal, preferring to keep a low profile.
It was originally reported the 35-year-old would skip the Monday
night charity event in New York City, but she will join siblings
Rob Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian to honor
their late father, Robert, at Cipriani Wall Street. The siblings'
mom Kris Jenner will also attend the Angel Ball.
"People were working on convincing her to come last week," a source
tells the New York Post's Page Six. "She would join the family
onstage to accept the award, but who knows if she will speak for
the family."
The Angel Ball, held in conjunction with Gabrielle's Angel
Foundation for Cancer Research, will fete Robert Kardashian, who
died of esophageal cancer in September 2003. Other guests expected
include Bob Geldof and Ivana Trump.
Kim has attended the Angel Ball on numerous occasions, and recalled
her fondest memories of her dad and his battle with cancer at the
event in 2011.
"Not a day goes by when I don't think about him," she said. "My dad
didn't really want to tell anyone he was sick. He wouldn't even
tell his parents he was sick. He didn't tell them until, like, a
week before he passed away."
