Kim Kardashian identity thief handed prison sentence
A teenager who attempted to steal Kim Kardashian's identity and illegally transfer thousands of dollars from her bank account has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars.
Luis Flores, Jr. gained access to the reality star's personal details, including her credit card and social security numbers, and then attempted to change the primary social security number on several accounts to his own.
The amount he stole from Kardashian's account remains unknown, but
the thief also targeted her mother, Kris Jenner, and was allegedly
able to steal $71,000 from her, according to editors at
TMZ.com.
Flores, 19, was caught by Secret Service agents in May (13), when
he attempted to order replacement cards for the accounts and have
them sent to his own address in Florida.
He has now been sentenced to time in a federal prison.
Ashton Kutcher, Bill Gates and Tom Cruise were also allegedly
targeted by Flores.
