Kim Kardashian defends pregnancy comments
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has defended her remarks about her "awful" pregnancy, insisting she hopes sharing her story will help other women suffering similar woes.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians beauty is expecting her second child with her rapper husband Kanye West, and she has been complaining about how uncomfortable she is as she nears her due date.
Kim has been suffering from numerous ailments, including swollen
ankles, and she has spoken candidly about how much she dislikes
being pregnant, prompting a slew of online criticism.
"I just don't think pregnancy and me really agree with each other,"
she tells E! Online. "I'm really not complaining, I'm just being
honest and being honest about (it). I hate it. You know pregnancy
is not for me... You know I've heard stories forever about how
amazing pregnancy is from my mom and (sister) Kourtney and that's
just not the case for me and I'm not going to sit here and lie and
act like it's the most blissful experience. It's awful."
However, Kim is adamant she wants to continue being honest about
her troubles to help other women who are also feeling miserable
while they are expecting.
"I'm not like afraid to say what is on my mind or how I'm feeling,
especially about pregnancy I feel like it's what everyone goes
through, so why not share my story and my process?" she explains.
"It's my reality and I've always been super honest."
Kim is expecting a son to join her two-year-old daughter North West
and the little boy is due to arrive by the end of the year
(15).
The reality star has piled on more pounds during her second
pregnancy, and is already the same weight she was when she
delivered North even though she still has more than a month to go
to the big day.
"You know, last time I gained 50 (pounds) and I delivered around
this time... week wise into my pregnancy," she says. "And so I'm 52
pounds up (now) and I still have, what six weeks to go? So I'm
definitely a little nervous... My baby is a lot bigger this time.
It's a whole different weight shift...Every pregnancy really is
different and I carry the weight differently."
However, Kim has given up trying to diet and is now indulging in
the food she loves in the run-up to the birth: "I've started to eat
whatever I want. I know my bounce back game is (strong). I enjoy
the process, the challenge of getting back (in shape), so I'm not
worried about the afterword (sic)."
