Jennifer Lawrence struggled with identity after Nicholas Hoult split
Jennifer Lawrence felt a little lost after wrapping her final The Hunger Games movie and ending a longtime romance with Nicholas Hoult.
The actress began working on the first installment of the action adventure franchise, as main protagonist Katniss Everdeen, in 2011, and she completed the final sequel, Mockingjay - Part 2, in the summer of 2014.
The timing of the project's completion coincided with the end of
her longterm romance and she admits it took her a while to come to
terms with the sudden changes in her life.
"These movies have been my life for so long and they had to come
first in everything," she explains to newswoman Diane Sawyer. "I
was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and we
broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. Being 24
was this whole year of, 'Who am I without these movies? Who am I
without this man?' It was always 'we'. It sounds so young to say
that but it's true."
Jennifer subsequently moved on to date another Brit, Coldplay
rocker Chris Martin, who she parted ways with earlier this year
(15).
She recently told the new issue of Vogue magazine she "can't wait
to be married", although she confessed to being single and "lonely"
as guys rarely ask her out on dates, but now it appears Jennifer,
now 25, has had a change of heart about heading down the aisle.
"I don't know if I ever will get married and I'm OK with that," she
muses. "I don't feel like I need anything to complete me. I love
meeting people... I don't really plan on getting married; I
might."
However, there is one part of her future she is sure about -
starting a family.
"I definitely want to be a mother," she adds. "I don't really
imagine getting married anymore."
