Khloé Kardashian: 'Lamar health shock took its toll'
Khloé Kardashian admits Lamar Odom's health scare took its toll on her "mentally".
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star rushed to her estranged husband's bedside when he was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel in October (15). While they didn't rekindle their romance, they did put divorce proceedings on hold.
Now Khloé has opened up about the situation and how it made her
feel.
"Mentally, it took its toll on me," she sighed to People magazine.
"But for the first month, I wasn't even really thinking about that.
It wasn't about me. But once I started getting my feet back under
me a little bit, I was like, 'Oh my God, I need to get back to my
routine.'"
Of course being at Lamar's bedside meant Khloé's fitness regime
suffered. The 31-year-old has dropped a lot of weight over the past
few years, showing off her toned figure on the red carpet. Now that
Lamar is stable, she's getting back into the swing of things.
"I definitely think the physical and the mental go hand in hand,"
she smiled. "I feel so good in the gym that it (affects) the rest
of my day. It's a healthy addiction. It's like buying your
sanity!"
The star has also switched up her eating habits, switching fatty
junk for fresh fruit and vegetables. However, she'll never be one
of those people who shun all treats in pursuit of looking good.
"I want whatever is quick, so having healthy items available when
I'm hungry, there's no excuse," she explained. "I don't deprive
myself. I'll still have a piece of cake; I just won't have two of
them!"
