Kanye West serenades Miami concertgoer
Kanye West serenaded a female fan at his Miami, Florida concert last week (ends16Sep16) after noticing her T-shirt paid tribute to his late mother.
The All Day hitmaker performed two shows at the American Airlines Arena over the weekend (16-18Sep16), and midway through Saturday night's (17Sep16) set, one woman's wardrobe choice caught his eye.
Pointing out the devotee, named Krystal, who also had a tattoo of a
ballerina from his Runaway video, West said, "The girl with the 'In
loving memory of' and the 'Runaway' tattoo right here. You
literally brought tears to my eyes."
According to fan video footage posted online, Kanye then broke out
into song, singing her name over and over again, causing Krystal to
become emotional as she began to cry.
The hip-hop star lost his mum Donda West in 2007, after she
suffered complications following cosmetic surgery.
The sweet exchange took place just days after Kanye suffered a
security scare after a male crowd member tried to climb up onto his
floating stage during his gig in Atlanta, Georgia on 12 September
(16).
The overzealous attendee grabbed onto the edge of the suspended
platform above him and began to pull himself up, prompting the
concerned rap star to briefly halt his performance of Power to wave
him down.
The fan lost his grip, fell back into the audience and the show
continued.
Kanye's St. Pablo Tour also hit headlines in Tampa on Wednesday
night (14Sep16), when he called out former protege Kid Cudi for
"disrespecting" him in a Twitter rant about fake artists.
Stopping the music during his track I Don't Like, the outspoken
superstar fired back at Cudi, who landed his big break after
signing to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label in 2008.
"Kid Cudi, don't ever mention 'Ye name," he said, referring to
himself in the third person. "I birthed you... Respect the God!
"You know how many people wish they could be signed to G.O.O.D.
Music, get they life changed? Have that opportunity? Never forget
that. I'm so hurt. I feel so disrespected... Why y'all got to come
at me?... Don't never mention my name in a bad manner. None of
y'all!"
