Justin Bieber serenades fans on Twitter's anniversary
Justin Bieber gave a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday in honor of Twitter's 10th anniversary.
The popular microblogging site marked a decade since first going live on the Internet on Monday (21Mar16), with many celebrities who use the platform on a regular basis taking to Twitter to show their appreciation for the site.
Among them was Bieber, who posted a video of himself singing the
traditional happy birthday song in a deeper tone than usual, along
with the caption, "happy bday (sic)".
Kim Kardashian wrote, "Twitter is life changing! Thank you for
creating the best avenue of communication!," while Bette Midler,
who ironically had an online feud with the reality TV star earlier
this month (Mar16), tweeted, "Twitter is 10 years old today! I’m a
member for 6 years & so much happier than I was when I used to
shout my opinions down open manholes."
Robert Downey Jr., added, "It is I who am indebted - all
communication henceforth should be 140 characters (or less). HBD!
(happy birthday)", Demi Lovato wrote, "Happy 10 Year Anniversary,
@Twitter!! Thank you for giving me the platform to speak my mind
and talk to my fans," while Arnold Schwarzenegger tweeted, "Happy
birthday @twitter. You're the epitome of the California dream. The
first 10 years were fantastic - pumped for the next 10."
Other stars to share their congratulations included Jennifer Lopez,
Paula Abdul, Kerry Washington, Diplo, Lucy Hale, Katy Perry and the
Backstreet Boys, among others.
