Jennifer Lawrence has no problem cutting fake friends out of her inner circle
Jennifer Lawrence has put her 'fake friends' on alert, insisting she feels "zero guilt" about cutting fraudsters out of her life.
The Oscar-winning actress admits it's become harder to make genuine connections with people the more famous she gets, so she prefers to keep her inner circle small, and then she knows who her "real" friends are.
"People start to feel a lot less guilty when you become bigger or
have more money," she tells Entertainment Weekly. "People feel less
guilty taking from you because it's like stealing a Snickers (candy
bar) from (New York drug store) Duane Reade. People forget about
the personal drain or attack that you feel."
The 25 year old goes on to warn acquaintances she has no problem
turning her back on anyone who steps out of line and starts taking
advantage of their friendship.
"I have a very small circle," she explains. "The moment I feel like
someone is using me or is in it for the wrong reasons, I have zero
guilt about just cutting them the f**k out of my life.
"My bulls**t detector is phenomenal. None of my friends bulls**t
me. Everything in my life has to be real."
One group of pals Jennifer knows she can count on is her castmates
on The Hunger Games, who she has spent many a late night on set
joking around and bonding with since shooting the first film in the
franchise in 2011.
"There's just crazy s**t you would never tell anybody but you do
because you're sitting on a set together for 16 hours a day," she
reveals. "Josh (Hutcherson), Liam (Hemsworth), Woody (Harrelson) -
we know each other. These people know more about me than anybody on
the planet!"
