Jamie Lynn Spears: 'Britney is in an amazing place!'
Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn wants everyone to acknowledge what an amazing place the singer is in.
After her meteoric rise to fame at 16, Britney suffered a very public meltdown that forced her to seek medical help in 2007. That same year she also lost custody of her children, 10-year-old Sean and Jayden, nine, to her ex-husband Kevin Federline, but over the last nine years has fought hard to rebuild her image.
Since late 2013 she’s had a Lad Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood
and boasts a successful perfume and design career. The 34-year-old
is also working on her ninth studio album.
"My sister is in a (great) place right now,” Jamie Lynn gushed to
People magazine. "I think we need to focus on what an amazing place
everyone is in, especially her. She's kicking (butt) right
now!"
Britney got another boost recently when it was announced that her
Piece of Me residency was getting another extension, meaning fans
will be able to see the pop princess belt out her hits until at
least 2017.
Jamie Lynn has also experienced her own set of troubles, with the
25-year-old receiving a backlash when she gave birth to her
daughter Maddie in 2008 aged just 17.
“We are really honest. If my family is going through something, we
don't try to pretend we're perfect because we're not,” the blonde
star shared. “To the public, that can look like we're falling
apart. But to us, it's just going through life.
"What you learn is: no one defines you. As long as you're honest
and hold yourself accountable, I don't believe that the outside
defines you. I choose to embrace the good."
