Fifth Harmony star urges fans to be 'gentle' after airport incident
Fifth Harmony's Ally Brooke Hernandez has urged fans to be "careful and gentle" after she was ambushed at a Mexico airport on Wednesday (28Sep16).
The Work from Home singers landed in Monterrey, Mexico on Wednesday ahead of their concert in the city and video footage taken of their arrival shows a fan running up to Ally Brooke with a cell phone to grab a selfie with her as she walks through terminal.
However, when a member of their security pushes the fan out of the
way, he grabs Ally with both hands and drags her with him, almost
pulling her to the floor. Security intervenes and helps the girls
get through the crowd.
Ally Brooke took to Instagram to post a message to assure followers
she was fine but made sure her fans learned from it.
"Hi my loves, just to let you know, I am okay after the airport
incident," she wrote. "Please be careful and gentle so nobody gets
hurt. That was scary. Thank you!
"Monterrey, I couldn't be happier to be here! It's been a dream of
mine since I was little. My favorite singer Selena Quintanilla had
many beautiful performances here. And I get to perform in this
city! I am beyond honored & proud."
She ends her post with crying face, praying hands, and love heart
emojis and "Te amo", Spanish for "I love you".
Following their Monterrey concert on Thursday (29Sep16) the girls
have one more stop in Guadalajara, Mexico before beginning the
European leg of their 7/27 tour, which kicks off in Dublin, Ireland
on 4 October (16).
Their European trek has been shorted for unknown reasons, with five
gigs across France, Germany and Switzerland being axed without
explanation earlier in September (16).
