Fashion bosses ordered to pay Rihanna's legal fees
Rihanna has won her latest legal battle with Topshop after a trio of judges ordered bosses of the fashion chain to pay the singer's legal fees following a lengthy court battle over a T-shirt range.
The Umbrella hitmaker has spent several years fighting the leading British clothing company over a line of garments which featured her image.
She won her initial copyright infringement lawsuit in 2013, but the
case went back to court last month (Jan15), when Topshop bosses
lost an appeal against the previous ruling which banned them from
selling the T-shirts.
Topshop bosses were ordered to pay the star's court bill, estimated
to be around $1.6 million, and they disputed the sum and launched a
legal challenge.
However, their claim was dismissed by three appeal judges on
Tuesday (03Feb15), and they were ordered to pay up.
