Katy Perry fuels reports of Mayer reunion at Super Bowl party

Katy Perry fueled reports suggesting she has rekindled her romance with John Mayer after her Super Bowl performance on Sunday (01Feb15) when she was photographed with the singer/songwriter at an after party.

The Firework star, who dazzled the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona with a 12-minute hits medley during the Super Bowl half-time show, snuggled up to Mayer and her special guest Missy Elliott in a photo that went viral early on Monday (02Feb15).

Perry split from her on/off boyfriend last year (Feb14), but word is the couple has become close again, and Perry and Mayer have been spotted together in recent weeks in Los Angeles.

The telling photo, which Elliott posted online with the simple caption "After party Super Bowl with @johnmayor (sic) @katyperry", came minutes after the pop star commemorated Super Bowl XLIX with a new tattoo - she shared her new ink, Roman numerals 'XLIX' on the inside of her finger, on Instagram, adding, "I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight... XLIX."
