Ellie Goulding returns to the stage after battling exhaustion
Ellie Goulding was back on top form at Chicago's Lollapalooza Festival on Sunday night (31Jul16).
The 29-year-old singer has been out of the spotlight for several weeks after being told by doctors that she is suffering from exhaustion.
But Burn singer Ellie delighted fans as she performed during the
fourth day of the music festival in Grant Park in the city on
Sunday, as part of her Delirium World Tour.
The blonde beauty looked stunning in a black tabard style dress
with cut outs at the side, over a pair of tiny black, glittery
shorts. Boasting a golden tan thanks to her recent trip to St
Tropez, where she has been recovering after being signed off work
by medical professionals, Ellie beamed with delight as she bounded
around the stage. As well as singing her famous tracks, Ellie also
showed off her rhythm as she pounded on a drum kit.
Following the performance, Ellie shared a snap of herself on stage
on her Instagram page, writing: "I know people use this world for
so many differed reasons... But I am BLESS-ED. What a night
@lollapalooza."
"Best show of the year damn @lollapalooza," she added on
Twitter.
Ellie pulled out of the Positivus Festival in Latvia on 15 July
(16), followed by Finland's Ilosaarirock Festival on 16 July. She
didn't mention what was wrong at the time, but later revealed to
Britain's Evening Standard newspaper she canceled on doctor's
orders.
"I’m a hard worker. I don’t cancel anything unless I really need
to, but my doctor said, ‘Ellie, your voice is going to burn out’.
Glastonbury was the point where I realized I was pretty exhausted.
It’s all good though - I’m feeling really positive about the rest
of the year," she told the British newspaper.
