Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson teaming up for anthology TV series
Daniel Radcliffe is returning to TV to star in an anthology series alongside Owen Wilson.
The Harry Potter star and Owen will also executive produce Miracle Workers, a seven-episode show which is based on Simon Rich's book What in God's Name.
Daniel will play an angel tasked with answering people's prayers, while Owen will star as his boss, God, who is more focused on his hobbies than helping people.
The series will premiere on the TBS network next year (18).
"Having Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson join the TBS family is proof of the continued evolution of this comedy brand as the home of the most creative minds in the business," Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS, says. "Owen Wilson has long been a comic genius, and Daniel's performance in last year's (movie) Swiss Army Man really proved that there's a sophisticated comedian under the surface of those brilliant dramatic chops..."
Daniel has starred in several TV shows throughout his career, including A Young Doctor's Notebook & Other Stories, which co-starred Jon Hamm, Robot Chicken, and The Simpsons. He will next be seen in films National Theater Live: Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Jungle, and Beast of Burden.
Owen has also been seen on the small screen as a guest in shows like Tales from Radiator Springs, Drunk History, and Community.
Miracle Workers will mark Radcliffe's debut as a TV producer - the young Brit only has one producer credit t his name, and that's for 2016 documentary Circus Kid.
