Ben Affleck wants to direct ex Jennifer Garner
Ben Affleck would jump at the opportunity to reunite onset with his estranged wife Jennifer Garner on a new directorial project.
The Hollywood stars separated in June, 2015 after 10 years of marriage, and filed divorce papers to make their split official in April (17).
Despite their failed romance, the actors have remained close for the sake of their three children, but Ben wouldn't hesitate to work with Jennifer again, after meeting on the set of 2003 film flop Daredevil.
Asked if the Argo moviemaker would want to direct Jennifer in a female-led film, he told People.com, "I would love to, are you kidding me? I think that would be great. I've often said that I want to direct a movie that Jennifer was in because I think she's so great and she could do something really cool."
However, any plans to team up onscreen will have to wait a few years - because the former couple takes turns looking after daughters Violet, 11, and Seraphina, eight, and five-year-old son Samuel, so the other can work.
"The problem that gets in the way (of a joint project) is that one of us has to be looking after the kids at home," Ben explained, before pondering a possible timeline for the film.
"I've got another however many years until (the children are in) college," he smiled. "We're lockin' it down for the next 13 years!"
In the meantime, Ben is keeping busy as the new Batman after taking over the role in last year's (16) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He reprised part of the Caped Crusader for the upcoming Justice League movie, and is currently in pre-production on his standalone superhero outing The Batman, which he will writing, producing, and starring in. He was also initially due to direct the project, but recently handed over the reins to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Matt Reeves.
