Chrissy Teigen's night out upsets moms on Twitter

New mom Chrissy Teigen has fired back at critics who chastised her on social media for leaving her two-week baby at home to enjoy a date night with her husband.

The model and TV personality, who gave birth to little Luna Simone on 14 April (16), and her man John Legend hit celebrity hot spot The Nice Guy in West Hollywood on Saturday (23Apr16), and some of her followers were not impressed with images of the couple out on the town.

Some suggested the new parents should not have left their baby home alone, while others defended Chrissy's decision to spend a little quality time with her husband.

The model, 30, woke up to all the comments on Sunday (24Apr16) and took to Twitter to shoot back. She wrote: "I went to dinner. People are p**sed. Good morning!"

One follower insisted it was too unhygienic to go out so soon after giving birth, stating, "You bleed (a) few weeks after and the smell is horrific!!! Even with a shower you have an after birth smell."

Teigen took the quarrel in her stride, simply tweeting a link to the concerned mom's remarks and writing: "talking about vagina smells in the comments. what in the...", while responding to another fan's question about what she ate on her date night, she replied: "seared scallops with leaks (sic) and potato puree."

And when another follower asked how her baby girl was, Teigen snapped back, "I dunno i can't find her", joking about the fact some critics thought she was a careless mom.

Responding to another's tweet, Teigen also wrote: "'i never wanted to leave my daughter, i love her, BUT THAT'S JUST ME' - the passive aggressiveness is real!"
