Kanye West recalls Taylor Swift protest speech at pals' weekend wedding

Kanye West reminded guests at a pal's wedding of his 2009 MTV Video Music Awards protest on Saturday (23Apr16) when he grabbed the microphone from a magazine boss to wish the bride and groom well.

The rapper famously stole the limelight from Taylor Swift at the awards ceremony, when he hit the stage to question her Best Female Video prize win over his friend Beyonce.

And he recalled the moment at a very different ceremony at the weekend, when he interrupted fellow wedding guest Jason Binn during the reception following pals David Grutman and Isabela Rangel's nuptials in Miami, Florida.

He grabbed the microphone from the DuJour magazine founder and said, "I'mma let you finish", much to guests' amusement.

Kanye then added, "But Dave and Isabela had one of the best weddings of all time!"

The rapper and his wife Kim Kardashian weren't the only stars at the wedding - Gabrielle Union, Wilmer Valderrama, and Elle MacPherson were also guests.
