Chris Hemsworth's hugs for twins on second birthday

Written by . Published: March 22 2016

Chris Hemsworth is seen pulling his twin sons into a giant bear hug as he celebrates their second birthday.

Tristan and Sasha turned two on 18 March (16), but Chris' wife Elsa Pataky shared the gorgeous snap on her Instagram.com page on Monday (21Feb16). In the picture, Chris is seen smiling as he embraces his blond-haired boys.

"Happy birthday my little boys," Elsa captioned the picture. "There's nothing that makes me happier in life, than being a mom and watch you growing up everyday!" She completed the caption with hashtags including "#mom, #boysbirthday, #bestlove, #party, #already2, and #loveyou".

Chris and Elsa, who married in 2010 after dating for less than a year, are also parents to three-year-old daughter India.

In a recent interview, Thor star Chris said that watching his model and actress wife become a mother had only caused him to fall more in love with her.

"Watching her be a mother made me fall even more in love with her," he beamed to Who magazine. "Once we had kids we were like, 'We're in it, this is it.'"

"All of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids. She certainly keeps me sane. I complain about things, she gets on with it."

It seems as though Chris and Elsa might be done with producing children for the meantime though. The 39-year-old star penned a blog for Spanish Glamour magazine in 2014, in which she revealed she and her spouse "do not plan to have more children, but you can never say never."

She also revealed that having twin sons is an entirely different experience from having daughter India

"With twins you have more work, and now I have to do it better," she wrote.

Of course both her and Chris' busy careers mean they have to do their utmost to balance their professional and personal lives. Chris' next movie release will be The Huntsman: Winter's War, followed by the all-female reboot of Ghostbusters, in which he has a small but pivotal role.
