Chris Brown plays charity basketball game after health scare
Singer Chris Brown put his health battle behind him on Sunday (11Aug13) by playing in a charity basketball game in Los Angeles.
The Kiss Kiss singer collapsed on Friday (09Aug13) at a recording studio in the city after reportedly suffering a non-epileptic seizure.
Brown refused treatment and his representative later blamed the
episode on "intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress".
However, the star appeared to be in high spirits as he showed off
his sports skills at a charity basketball game against a team from
the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) just two days later.
An eyewitness tells E! News, "Chris Brown came out today with his
Team Breezy to play basketball against the LAPD team at Alain Leroy
Locke Charter Prep Academy gym. He just came out to get the
community out and have some fun and try to get the message out to
reduce violence."
Organiser Skipp Townsend adds, "We have partnered with Chris Brown
for about four months. This is just one way he decided to give back
to the community with a free basketball game... Chris took photos
with his team, the LAPD team and many fans. He was smiling and very
happy to be there. He looked great and healthy. He was hugging fans
and grinning big and having a great time."
Brown's team lost the match by 30 points.
The game was sponsored by the LAPD, Second Call, a local
anti-violence organization, and Brown's own charity, the Symphonic
Love Foundation.
